How to get here
The Ore Mountains are situated in the south of the Free State of Saxony near the Czech border. The region is best reached by car:
from the north via the A 14 Motorway or from Berlin via the A 13
from the west via the A 4 to Chemnitz or Dresden
from the south via the A 72 Motorway.
You can also travel by rail to Zwickau, Chemnitz or Dresden, where you change on to a regional railway line or local public transport (bus).
By the way: from Berlin it takes no longer than three hours to get right to the heart of the Ore Mountains by car.
